Why should we work together?

Electric Power companies share common basic interests and objectives regarding the applicability of Power Line Communications technology.

There is a significant improvement in the general environment for PLC deployments where technological and economical viability are no longer questioned. However, there is still an important amount of work to be done before PLC will be present in our societies on a large scale, and there is still a large number of utilities that are just getting started in the evaluation and analysis of the PLC technology.

Utilities can leverage and take advantage of the opportunity that it represents for the electric power industry. Turning PLC into a profitable business becomes easier when joining efforts, on the basis of a mutual understanding and cooperative work.

Why should you join?

The PUA is the solely international association entirely composed by utilities, which has set out a scenario where electric companies work together, sharing their experiences and defining strategies to benefit of the opportunity that PLC also means for the Power companies.

In the recent years, the PUA has become a consolidated worldwide reference point in the PLC industry, and effectively contributed to the promotion of the PLC technology, playing an active role in the most important areas:
